Resolution to dissolve the committee: There has never been a resolution to dissolve this committee. At Full Council on 24th August 2018, item 7 a proposal was outlined to reduce the number of committees and introduce working groups. At Full Council on 11th September 2018, item 7, the proposal for working groups was discussed further, and the meeting agreed that the PAC and RPC would meet on specified timescales. No mention is made of whether the SPC would continue, nor was it resolved to dissolve it. Therefore the SPC continued to exist, but never met, from this date onwards.

At Full Council June 2020 it was resolved to dissolve all committees and working groups other than the Finance Committee. This therefore, by default, formally dissolved the SPC.
