Twinning

Oudon, France

Batheaston was twinned with the Loire Valley village of Oudon in 2005. Oudon is on the North bank of the Loire River close to Nantes and has a population similar in size to Batheaston

The main events for the two villages are alternate annual visits in early summer to each other’s village, staying in each other’s houses and taking part in communal and individual activities. The last visit to Batheaston was in 2019 - the return visit to Oudon was to have been in summer 2020, but has had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The relationship between the two villages is maintained by the respective Batheaston and Oudon Twinning Associations.
